What's New at Studio 68?
Keeping You On Your Toes – October 2009At Studio 68, we absolutely love fall – it puts us in the mood to dance, and we hope it does the same for you! Remember to check the bulletin boards in the lobby, the website, and your email regularly. There’s a lot going on this month, including measuring for recital costumes AND our Haunted Halloween Week! If you have any questions, please share them with us: info@studio-68.com. Miss Stephanie, Miss Natalie and the staff at Studio 68 Important Dates October 12-15 – Students will be measured for recital costumes during their regular class time. October 21-22 – Studio 68 is closed for Fall Break. October 26-30 – Wear your Halloween costumes to class. Remember to wear leotards/tights UNDER your costume since we’ll still be dancing. October 30 – Deadline to pre-order Christmas Parade sweatshirts. Parade info will be sent separately. November 4 – Deadline to order new studio jackets. Cost and info will be sent separately. November 5 – Tuition and Recital Fee ($40) are due. Policy Update Effective immediately: Tuition payments must be current before we will accept orders for EXTRAS, such as sweatshirts, jackets, etc. If you have questions regarding this policy, please see Miss Debbie. Remember that we will always take payments over the phone in order to help you avoid late charges. Just call 838-0068. Christmas Parade and Sweatshirts This year’s Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 5th. With the current economic climate, we have decided to wear the black sweatshirts that we wore last year, black jazz pants, and our signature Santa hats. If you would like to participate with Studio 68 in the parade, you MUST have these items. Please see Miss Debbie BEFORE OCTOBER 30 to sign up for the parade and to order your sweatshirts ($20 without your name, $25 with your name) and hats ($12). We won’t order extras, so please don’t miss this deadline! Costume Sale Be sure to browse our costume sale for some great Halloween ideas! All costumes are just $10 – you can’t beat that! Looking Back Thank you to all who participated in Bring-A-Friend Week! We had a great time meeting your friends, and we know that everyone had a great time dancing. Some of your friends even joined the Studio 68 family and we couldn’t be more excited! We’ll definitely do it again next year. Congratulations to Molly Hefner (Petite), Morgan Barnette (Teen), Emma Factor (Teen) and Eleanor Richardson (Teen). All four earned spots in the finals for the Miss Dance of NC Scholarship Competition. The final event will be in Greensboro on November 13 and 14. Good luck, girls! |
