Summer 2010 Opportunities at Studio 68
Summer is Made for Dancing at Studio 68! Opportunities for 2010 Summer Technique and Choreography Classes Pretty Princess Camp Company Camp Summer Technique and Choreography Classes (Divided according to Studio 68 Company Levels. Students not currently in the Company are encouraged to attend classes and will be placed at the directors’ discretion.) Who: Serious students age 7 and older
Why take summer dance classes? Because you love to dance! You’ve worked hard all year to get that pirouette or those splits. Why sit out for 3 months and lose it? Plus, summer is a great time to make major improvements, without the stress of school and a regular schedule. Cost: $70 per session for both Tuesday/Thursday classes, or $45 for just one day. Pretty Princess Camp Who: Little girls, ages 3-4 years and 5-6 years When: Monday, May 31- Thursday, June 3 from 10am-12pm Each day’s activities will focus around a different princess. It might be Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Jasmine, or any one of your favorites! Dance will be the main focus, but crafts, songs, and games will also be included. Cost: $50, includes daily crafts, snacks and drinks. Download a registration form. Company Camp & Competitive Group Auditions Who: Serious dancers age 7 and up When: Monday, June 28 – Friday, July 2 Company Camp is an intense week of technique classes and choreography that is required for students wishing to audition for our competitive groups. On Monday-Wednesday, students will be divided into three groups for classes in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. These classes will focus on technique, conditioning, and specific skills required of company dancers. For returning students, placement will be determined by their 2009-10 Company Level. For new students, placement is at the discretion of the instructors. Auditions will begin Thursday. Students will choose the levels and subjects in which they will audition. We encourage you to audition for multiple levels to help ensure placement in the Studio 68 Company. Judges will rate and place students based on technique, strength/control, performance ability, retention of material, flexibility, and other skills. Cost: $35 per subject + $5 per audition Download a registration form and specific schedule. |
